FERPLAST Microchip Tag for Swing Door – FERPLAST VAT013306 pet microchip reader tag
FERPLAST Microchip Tag for Swing Door is an accessory designed to work with Ferplast Swing pet doors to enable microchip recognition and selective entry control. The tag attaches to the door mechanism and communicates with implanted pet microchips to allow authorised animals to pass through the flap while preventing access by unrecognised animals. It is intended as an add-on for compatible Swing models to provide pet identification-based locking.
The microchip tag provides automatic identification of pets carrying compatible implanted microchips, removing the need for collars or magnetic keys. Installation on the Swing door is compact and does not alter the basic operation of the flap, preserving regular in-and-out movement for authorised animals. The system adds a level of access control that helps reduce visits from neighbourhood animals and improves safety for the household pet population without extensive modification to the door structure.
This microchip tag is intended specifically for use with compatible Ferplast Swing pet doors and requires pets to have implanted microchips that match standard ISO frequencies. It will not function as a standalone pet door or as a replacement for non-compatible door models. Users whose pets do not have implanted microchips, or whose microchips use non-standard frequencies, may not be able to use this accessory effectively.
Fit the microchip tag to the designated mounting point on a compatible Swing pet door according to the door manufacturer’s installation instructions. Ensure the tag is connected to the door’s control circuitry and powered as specified by the door manual. Register each pet’s implanted microchip ID with the door system following the supplied procedure so the mechanism recognises authorised animals. After setup, the door will operate normally, unlocking the flap for recognised microchips and remaining locked for others.
The accessory is most effective when used with properly registered ISO-compliant microchips and following the door’s installation and programming instructions; periodically verify chip recognition and battery or power connections to maintain reliable selective entry control.
