Ball valve FERRO KG1 gas 1/2" threaded female-to-female
Ball valve FERRO KG1 gas 1/2" threaded female-to-female
FERRO KG1 gas 1/2" threaded female-to-female ball valve is designed for reliable on/off control in gas installations. The compact valve uses a rotating spherical closure element to provide a tight shut-off and features female-to-female 1/2" threaded connections for direct assembly with standard gas fittings. Intended for residential and light commercial systems, the valve is serviceable and suitable where a simple, space-saving shut-off is required.
The FERRO KG1 ball valve offers a compact form factor and straightforward threaded connections that simplify installation and replacement in existing gas lines. Its ball-and-seat design enables quick on/off operation and a low-pressure drop when fully open. The valve is built for repeated operation and provides a visible handle position for easy identification of flow status. Threaded female ends allow direct coupling to standard pipe fittings without additional adapters.
Install the valve in-line using compatible 1/2" threaded fittings, ensuring thread sealant or tape appropriate for gas installations is applied according to local codes. Tighten connections to achieve a leak-free joint without over-stressing the valve body. Operate the lever perpendicular to the pipe axis to close and parallel to the pipe to open; check for proper operation and full travel. After installation, perform a pressure and leak test following applicable safety procedures and regulations before placing the system into service.
Use the FERRO KG1 valve only in gas systems and follow local codes for installation, sealing materials, and leak testing. Avoid exposing the valve to corrosive atmospheres or mechanical impacts; service or replace the valve if leaks or damage are detected. For safety, isolation and maintenance work should be done by qualified personnel.
