Automatic Transfer Switch FF PSR-463-AUTO 4P 63A (I-0-II network-generator)

FF PSR-463-AUTO is an automatic transfer switch designed to manage and switch between mains and generator power sources in an I-0-II configuration. With four poles and a rated current of 63 A, this device enables automatic source selection and safe isolation of the supply that is not in use. It is intended for backup power systems, emergency supply installations and other applications where reliable automatic changeover between grid and generator is required.

Advantages

The transfer switch provides automatic, rapid transfer between mains and generator without the need for manual intervention, reducing downtime during power outages. Its four-pole construction supports complete disconnection of all phases and neutral where required, while the 63 A rating suits a wide range of small-to-medium electrical installations. The unit is built for reliable operation in defined electrical distribution circuits and simplifies integration into existing backup generation setups.

Suitable for

• Residential backup systems with a generator
• Small commercial premises and retail outlets requiring automatic switchover
• Worksites and temporary installations with portable generators
• Critical loads that need a fast changeover to emergency power

When it may not be suitable

This switch is intended for installations where a 63 A rated current and four-pole switching meet the system requirements. It may not be suitable for larger installations with higher continuous current demands, three-wire systems that do not require neutral switching, or where advanced metering, remote monitoring or bespoke control logic is required beyond basic automatic transfer functionality.

Key specifications

• Configuration: automatic transfer switch with I-0-II positions (mains, off, generator)
• Poles: 4P (four-pole switching)
• Rated current: 63 A
• Function: automatic changeover between mains and backup generator
• Application: backup power systems and emergency supply installations

How to use

Install the unit in accordance with local electrical codes and the manufacturer's mounting and wiring instructions. Connect mains supply to the designated input terminals and the generator to the alternative input terminals, ensuring correct phase and neutral connections. Configure any required local control settings and test the transfer sequence under supervised conditions to verify correct operation. Regular inspection and maintenance of wiring, contacts and any control components will help ensure reliable performance.

What to consider before purchase

• Confirm that a 63 A rated transfer switch matches the expected load and peak currents of the installation
• Verify the need for four-pole switching (including neutral) versus three-pole options
• Ensure compatibility with the generator's output characteristics and any upstream protection devices
• Check local regulations and installation requirements for automatic transfer switches and emergency power systems

Usage recommendations

Commission the switch with an experienced electrician and perform a full transfer test between mains and generator before relying on it for emergency operation. Schedule periodic checks and clean contacts if needed, and ensure coordination with upstream protective devices to protect against overloads and short circuits.
