Spring toggle Fischer KDH 4
The Fischer Spring toggle KDH 4 is a galvanized metal spring fixing designed for secure fastening in drywall, plasterboard, gypsum fibreboard, chipboard and hollow ceilings made of brick or concrete. It is intended to be inserted into a pre-drilled hole where the spring flips open behind the board, providing a firm anchor without the need for a special installation tool. Each pack contains 25 pieces; the fixing has an M4 connecting thread, a 14 mm length and a 9.5 mm thread diameter.
The spring toggle offers high load capacity by distributing forces across the transition beams and enables simple assembly because the tension spring opens automatically behind the panel. A long thread provides flexibility for use with different panel and attachment thicknesses. The metal construction ensures durability, and the integrated hook option allows attachment of suspended items.
Drill a hole in the panel at the installation point sized to the fixing. Insert the Fischer spring toggle through the hole in its folded position and push until the spring flips open behind the panel. Tighten the screw into the M4 thread; the toggle will pull tight against the back of the board to create a secure anchor. No special tools are required for the spring to open; use standard screwdrivers or an appropriate screwdriving tool to complete fastening.
Use the KDH 4 spring toggle in appropriate substrate types only (drywall, gypsum fibreboard, chipboard, hollow ceilings). Check panel thickness and select suitable screw length to ensure correct engagement of the toggle. For heavy loads or critical applications consult relevant load tables or the manufacturer’s technical data.
