Toggle bolt Fischer 80185
The Fischer 80185 toggle bolt is a mechanical anchor designed for secure fastening in substrates such as brick, concrete, gypsum block and plasterboard. It features a 100 mm length and fits a drill hole diameter of 1.6 cm, accommodating M6 connecting threads. Supplied in a pack of 25 pieces, this toggle bolt is intended for applications that require a reliable hold in hollow and solid materials.
The Fischer toggle bolt provides a high pull-out resistance in hollow materials thanks to its expanding wings and secure locking mechanism. Its 100 mm length allows installation through thicker panels, while compatibility with M6 connecting threads makes it suitable for a wide range of fittings. Supplied in packs of 25, the bolts support multiple fixings for larger projects and reduce the need for frequent reordering.
Drill a hole with 1.6 cm diameter through the material at the required point. Insert the toggle bolt with wings folded into the hole and push until the wings open behind the substrate. Tighten the bolt by turning the screw, drawing the fixture toward the wall and locking the wings against the rear surface. Ensure the connected fixture matches M6 thread requirements and tighten to the torque appropriate for the substrate and fixture weight.
Always check the substrate condition and the combined load rating for the applied fixture. For plasterboard, position fixings away from damaged or softened areas and avoid overtightening to prevent board damage. Use appropriate drill bits for masonry when installing in brick or concrete. For safety-critical or high-load applications, verify compatibility with installer guidelines and, if necessary, consult technical documentation from FISCHER.
