Bolt anchor Fischer FBN II 12/10
The Fischer bolt anchor FBN II 12/10 is a steel anchor designed for cost-effective fixings in non-cracked concrete and masonry. The anchor has a long threaded shank and two selectable anchorage depths, which allow flexible installation methods including through-fixing, pre-positioned and stand-off installation. The zinc-plated steel version is suitable for internal applications such as fixing railings, cable trays and consoles. Each pack contains 20 pieces; nominal length is 106 mm with a drill hole diameter of 12 mm and a minimum drill depth of 95 mm.
The FBN II achieves full load-bearing capacity at the standard anchorage depth, enabling fewer fixing points and smaller anchor plates. Using the reduced anchorage depth lowers the required drill depth and simplifies installation. The long thread compensates for component tolerances and supports stand-off installation, increasing flexibility. Assembly is straightforward with few hammer taps and minimal slippage. A drive-in pin protects the thread from damage, saving time during installation and removal.
Drill a hole of 12 mm diameter to the specified minimum depth of 95 mm into non-cracked concrete. Clean the hole from dust and debris. Position the anchor (through or pre-positioned) and drive in the anchor sleeve and bolt using the recommended number of light hammer taps until set. For stand-off installation, use the long thread to achieve the required spacing. Tighten the bolt to the manufacturer’s specified torque for the chosen anchorage depth to obtain the stated load-bearing capacity.
Use the standard anchorage depth where full load capacity is required; choose the reduced depth only when indicated by the project to reduce drilling. Do not use the anchor in cracked concrete or with corrosive environments unless a suitable corrosion-resistant variant is specified. Follow Fischer’s torque and installation data for safe and reliable performance.
