Threaded anchor Fischer 48406
The fischer Hammerset anchor EA II (Threaded anchor Fischer 48406) is an internally threaded anchor made of zinc‑plated steel for secure fastening in concrete and similar substrates. The anchor is driven flush into the base and set by hammering the internal rod, causing the sleeve to expand against the wall of the drilled hole. When installed with the EHS Plus setting tool or the EMS machine setting tool, the sleeve expands reliably without applying torque to the screw or threaded rod. This anchor is suitable for indoor applications requiring approval, such as sprinkler systems, gratings and consoles.
The embossed rim on the sleeve prevents slipping during installation and supports a trouble-free hammerset setting. The internal metric thread allows the use of standard screws or threaded rods to match the intended application. The EMS machine setting tool enables faster, less laborious installation for series work. Expansion embossing produced by the EHS Plus setting tool provides a visible control of correct anchoring. A fixing point at hef 25 mm prevents the anchor from falling out of the drill hole before expansion, and the black fixing point secures the anchor during overhead installation. The zinc‑plated steel construction offers corrosion resistance suitable for many internal environments.
Drill a hole with the specified diameter and clean out dust. Insert the threaded anchor EA II flush into the drilled hole. Using a hammer, drive in the internal rod until the sleeve expands and the embossed rim engages with the base material. For controlled expansion and easier series installation, use the EHS Plus setting tool or the EMS machine setting tool; do not apply torque to the screw or threaded rod during expansion. After setting, fit the appropriate metric screw or threaded rod to achieve the required fixture tension.
Use the EMS machine setting tool for repetitive installations and the EHS Plus tool when visual verification of the expansion embossing is required. Ensure drill hole depth and diameter match the specified values and follow applicable building approvals for indoor sprinkler and safety systems.
