Expansion anchor FISCHER 524827, nylon, Ø12 mm x 60 mm, for brick/concrete/autoclaved aerated concrete, pack of 6

FISCHER 524827 is a nylon expansion anchor designed for medium-load fixings in concrete, brick, autoclaved aerated concrete and gypsum block. The anchor has a nominal diameter of 12 mm and an overall length of 60 mm, matching a 12 mm drill hole. Supplied in a blister pack of six pieces, this FISCHER nylon anchor (SX Green variant) is manufactured from at least 50% renewable raw materials while maintaining the same load-bearing properties as standard versions. Its four-way expansion geometry and anti-rotation lock provide reliable force transmission into the base material for consistent fastening performance.

Advantages

The four-way expansion ensures even distribution of load into solid and hollow building materials, delivering high holding capacities for typical medium-load applications. An expansion-free plug neck prevents tangential expansion forces at the material surface during screw insertion, reducing the risk of damage to tiles and plaster. A pronounced rim on the anchor head stops the plug from slipping into the drill hole, enabling straightforward and stable installation.

Suitable for

• Mounting light fixtures, strip lights and cable conduits
• Fixing brackets, supports and shelf systems in masonry and concrete
• Sanitary and bathroom fittings such as toilet frames and small cabinets
• Interior installations in autoclaved aerated concrete and gypsum block

Key specifications

• Material: nylon (contains at least 50% renewable raw materials in SX Green variant)
• Anchor diameter: 12 mm
• Anchor length: 60 mm
• Recommended drill hole diameter: 12 mm
• Expansion type: four-way expansion for optimal force transmission
• Anti-rotation lock and pronounced rim on head for secure positioning
• Pack contents: 6 pieces per blister pack

How to use

Drill a clean, correctly sized 12 mm hole to the required depth in the base material, remove dust from the hole, and insert the nylon anchor until the rim sits flush against the surface. Position the fixture or bracket over the anchor, then insert the appropriate screw and tighten. The anchor expands four ways as the screw advances, transmitting load into the surrounding material. Do not overtighten the screw; tighten to the securing torque appropriate for the screw size and base material.

Usage recommendations

Use compatible screws with a diameter and length matched to the anchor and the load conditions. For hollow or low-density materials, verify suitability and required embedment depth before installation. Avoid reusing anchors removed from the drill hole; replace anchors after removal to ensure reliable holding performance.
