Screw anchor wall plug FISCHER 532667 – pack of 50, universal nylon plug for screw diameter 4 mm
The Fischer expansion plug S is a long-established plastic wall plug made from high-quality nylon. It is designed for reliable fixing in concrete and solid masonry and remains robust during installation. The plug expands in two directions, and by turning it during insertion the expansion forces can be directed parallel to the edge of the building material to reduce the risk of spalling. Objects can be fastened with wood or chipboard screws.
The nylon construction provides durable mechanical strength and resistance to breakage during installation. A rimless design allows both pre-positioned and push-through installation methods. An anti-rotation lock prevents the plug from turning inside the drill hole, improving safety and ensuring consistent anchoring performance.
The plug is intended for use in concrete and solid masonry and may not be suitable for hollow or perforated substrates where a different anchor type (e.g., toggle or cavity anchor) is required. For heavy-duty structural loads or critical safety applications, more specialised anchors designed and rated for those loads should be chosen.
Drill a hole of the correct diameter and depth in the base material, clean out dust, and insert the plug either pre-positioned or by pushing through the fixture. Turn the plug if necessary to align its expansion directions parallel to the edge of the substrate. Use a suitable wood or chipboard screw of matching diameter and length to expand the plug and secure the fixture. Tighten the screw until the fixture is held firmly but avoid over-torquing.
Use clean, correctly sized drill holes and appropriate wood or chipboard screws to achieve reliable anchoring; when installing close to edges, orient the plug so expansion forces run parallel to the edge to minimise the risk of spalling.
