FISCHER 562516 thermal insulation fastener, pack of 100, is a hammer-set fixing designed for mechanical anchoring of insulation boards and thermal claddings in ETICS (external thermal insulation composite systems). The one-piece plastic sleeve with integrated plate and the separately enclosed steel nail enable secure fastening of compression-resistant insulation materials such as polystyrene, mineral wool and wood-fibre boards up to 200 mm thickness. The overmoulded plastic portion of the nail reduces thermal bridging while the steel component provides the necessary load-bearing capacity for facades and interior insulation on solid and perforated substrates.

How to use

Select a fastener length appropriate to the insulation thickness and substrate. Drill a pilot hole if required by the substrate and system specifications, clean the hole from dust, position the insulation board, place the fastener through the board so the plate sits flush on the insulation surface, and drive the steel nail fully into the sleeve with a hammer until the head is seated. Ensure the fixing achieves required embedment depth in the base material and that the insulation board is compressed evenly without deformation.
