FLAMCO Xstream dirt separator 1.1/4" (model 11033)
The FLAMCO Xstream dirt separator 1.1/4" is a compact hydraulic component engineered to remove particulate contaminants from closed heating and cooling circuits. Designed for 1.1/4" pipe connections, the unit captures sludge, rust and debris to reduce wear on pumps, valves and heat exchangers. Its in-line configuration allows straightforward integration into residential and light-commercial boiler, radiator and chilled-water systems where ongoing protection and system cleanliness are required.
The dirt separator features an internal chamber that traps solid particles while allowing fluid to flow with minimal pressure drop. Constructed from corrosion-resistant materials, it supports continuous operation with low maintenance needs. The removable collection cup and accessible internal parts simplify periodic cleaning without the need to dismantle surrounding pipework.
Install the FLAMCO Xstream dirt separator in-line on the supply or return pipe at a location that allows easy access for maintenance. Ensure the pipe connections are compatible with the 1.1/4" fitting and that system pressure and temperature are within the component’s allowable range as specified by the system designer. After installation, commission the system and check for leaks. Periodically inspect the collection cup and remove accumulated debris according to the system maintenance schedule to maintain optimal flow and protect downstream components.
For best results combine the dirt separator with proper system flushing and appropriate filtration or magnetic separation where ferrous particles are present. Schedule inspections during routine system servicing and follow manufacturer guidance for cleaning intervals to ensure continued protection of pumps, valves and heat exchangers.
