Safety Relief Valve FLAMCO FLOPRESS 1/2" 3 bar (model 27005)
Safety Relief Valve FLAMCO FLOPRESS 1/2" 3 bar (model 27005)
The FLAMCO FLOPRESS safety relief valve 1/2" 3 bar is designed to protect closed heating and hot-water systems from excess pressure. Constructed from brass with a 1/2" connection and factory-set to 3 bar, this valve opens automatically when pressure exceeds the set limit, discharging fluid to prevent damage to boilers, expansion vessels and pressurized circuits. The valve is intended for use in domestic and light commercial installations where dependable overpressure protection is required.
The FLOPRESS valve provides reliable and repeatable pressure relief thanks to a corrosion-resistant brass body and a precision spring mechanism calibrated at 3 bar. Its compact design and standard 1/2" threaded connection enable straightforward installation into existing pipework. Factory pre-setting eliminates the need for on-site calibration, while the durable construction ensures consistent operation and reduced maintenance needs over time.
Install the valve in a vertical orientation where possible, upstream of any fittings that could restrict discharge and in accordance with local plumbing and heating regulations. Connect the 1/2" threaded inlet to the system pipework using appropriate sealing method (e.g., thread tape or sealant) and provide a safe drainage path for the discharged fluid. Do not obstruct the outlet and ensure the discharge pipe slopes downward to a visible or safe drain. Verify the valve is accessible for inspection and replacement if required.
Inspect the valve periodically for signs of corrosion, leakage or mechanical wear and ensure the discharge line remains unobstructed. Replace the valve if it fails to hold pressure or if the spring mechanism becomes unreliable. Follow applicable national standards and manufacturer guidance for pressure equipment and system commissioning to maintain safe operation.
