3D printer PLA filament Flashforge HS 1.75 mm Fire Engine Red 201°C 1 kg
Flashforge HS PLA 1.75 mm filament in Fire Engine Red is a 1 kg spool of biodegradable thermoplastic designed for FDM/FFF 3D printers that accept 1.75 mm PLA. The filament offers good dimensional stability, consistent diameter tolerance and predictable layer adhesion at the recommended extrusion temperature of 201°C. It is intended for general prototyping, hobby models and detailed prints where ease of printing and surface quality are important.
This PLA filament provides reliable feeding and low-warp performance, enabling fine detail and accurate dimensions on printed parts. The Fire Engine Red color offers uniform pigmentation across the spool for consistent color in multi-part prints. The recommended extrusion temperature of 201°C helps balance layer bonding and surface finish while keeping stringing and oozing to a minimum on many printers. As a biodegradable thermoplastic, it is easier to handle and store compared with some specialty materials.
Load the 1.75 mm Flashforge HS PLA filament into a compatible FDM/FFF 3D printer according to the printer manufacturer's loading procedure. Set the nozzle temperature to approximately 201°C and adjust bed temperature and adhesion method based on your printer and model geometry; many prints work well on an unheated or mildly heated bed with blue painter's tape, PEI or a light glue stick layer. Calibrate extrusion multiplier and retraction settings to reduce stringing and ensure dimensional accuracy before printing critical parts.
Store the filament in a dry environment or sealed container with desiccant to prevent moisture uptake. For best results, perform a small test print when changing spool or printer settings. If stringing or poor layer adhesion appears, adjust retraction distance, print temperature in 2–5°C increments, and cooling fan speed to optimize surface finish and mechanical properties.
