The FLIR E8-PRO thermal imaging camera delivers 320 x 240 thermal resolution and a 30 Hz frame rate, designed for professional inspections in electrical, mechanical, HVAC and building diagnostics. The camera produces clear thermal images using FLIR’s patented MSX® (Multispectral Dynamic Imaging) technology. Captured images can be annotated on the 3.5-inch touchscreen, organized and uploaded directly to FLIR Ignite Cloud for editing, sharing, and report creation. Over-the-Air (OTA) updates keep the camera software current.

How to use

Power on the camera and allow it to stabilize. Aim the lens at the target area and use the touchscreen to frame the scene. Tap on the area of interest to apply 1-Touch Level/Span for optimal contrast. Capture thermal images and add notes or annotations via the 3.5-inch touchscreen. Connect to Wi‑Fi to upload images and notes automatically to FLIR Ignite Cloud for review, editing, and report generation. Use the camera’s ΔT tools for on-device temperature difference measurements when required.

Usage recommendations

For reliable measurements, allow the camera to equilibrate to the environment before use, maintain a clear line of sight to the target, and account for emissivity and reflected temperature when measuring. Use FLIR Ignite for secure storage and FLIR Thermal Studio for large-scale project management and custom reporting.
