Description

The FLIR C3-X compact thermal camera is a pocket-sized inspection tool for building inspection, facilities maintenance, HVAC/R, electrical repair and general troubleshooting. It combines a 128×96 vanadium oxide thermal imager with a 5 MP visual camera, a bright LED flashlight and built-in Wi‑Fi for direct upload to the FLIR Ignite™ cloud. The integrated 3.5" touchscreen and measured temperature range from -20 to 300 °C let technicians quickly detect hot fuses, air leaks, plumbing faults and other hidden issues, document findings and share image files and reports.

How to use

Turn on the camera and allow it a brief warm-up. Use the capacitive 3.5" touchscreen to select the desired image mode (Infrared, Visual, MSX® or Picture-in-picture). Hold the device at least the minimum focus distance (thermal 0.1 m, MSX® 0.3 m) and scan the area of interest. Capture images with the shutter control, add annotations as needed, and review thumbnails in the gallery. Connect to Wi‑Fi to upload images directly to FLIR Ignite™ for backup, organization and sharing. Use included USB‑C cable for charging or to transfer files to a computer.

Usage recommendations

For accurate temperature measurements, allow the camera to acclimate to ambient conditions and set emissivity and reflected temperature corrections when inspecting surfaces with unknown properties. Keep the lens and housing clean, and store the camera within the specified temperature range when not in use. Use secure links from FLIR Ignite™ when sharing sensitive inspection data.
