The Fractal Design North Midi Tower Black reinterprets the gaming PC case with natural materials and refined details. It combines open-front ventilation with real oak or walnut panels, a faux leather access tab and metal accents in steel or brass. Inside, the case supports ATX, mATX and ITX motherboards and offers an intuitive interior layout with room for standard desktop components and multiple storage drives.

Advantages

The case delivers improved airflow through a fine-patterned mesh top and an open front while maintaining a living-room-friendly appearance thanks to genuine wood front panels and subtle metal details. It comes with two preinstalled Aspect 14 PWM front fans and offers flexible storage with two combined 3.5"/2.5" mounts plus two dedicated 2.5" mounts. Front connectivity includes three USB ports, one of which is a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C supporting up to 10 Gbps and fast charging.

How to use

Install your motherboard (ATX/mATX/ITX) on the provided standoffs and mount the power supply at the bottom. Fit storage drives into the combined 3.5"/2.5" trays or the dedicated 2.5" mounts. Install GPUs and expansion cards into the seven bridgeless slots. For radiator or fan installation, use the front and top mounting points: the case supports radiators up to 360 mm in the front and up to 240 mm at the top. Remove side panels, unclip the front and lift the top panel using the integrated tab to access the interior during assembly.

Usage recommendations

For optimal airflow, use the preinstalled front fans and keep the front design choice (open front or mesh) consistent with your cooling plan. If planning a front radiator, verify GPU length compatibility (up to 300 mm with a front radiator). Choose the mesh version if you need additional fan positions and the included fanhub for larger cooling setups.
