Fractal Design Dynamic X2 GP-18 PWM 180 mm case fan, 300–1200 RPM, 261.29 m³/h, sleeve bearing, 6–12 V, black
The Fractal Design Dynamic X2 GP-18 PWM is an 180 mm computer case fan designed to provide high airflow with low noise. Its large blades and 38 mm thickness, combined with a PWM-controlled speed range of 300–1200 RPM, deliver strong cooling performance while maintaining quiet operation. The fan fits standard 180 mm mounts with a 165 x 165 mm screw hole pattern and uses a long-life sleeve (LLS) bearing for extended reliability.
Optimized fan geometry balances overall airflow and static pressure for reliable performance across different installation scenarios. Trip Wire micro-turbulence technology reduces factors that negatively affect efficiency and noise. Notched blade design and aerodynamic stator struts lower humming and turbulence, creating a smoother acoustic profile. The LLS bearing offers a long mean time to failure for dependable continuous operation.
Install the Dynamic X2 GP-18 PWM into a compatible 180 mm fan mount (165 x 165 mm screw pattern). Connect the fan to a PWM-capable header on the motherboard or a PWM controller to enable speed regulation between 300 and 1200 RPM. Ensure wiring is routed along the aerodynamic stator struts or chassis channels to minimize airflow disruption. Operate within the specified voltage range and confirm the fan orientation for intake or exhaust according to your cooling layout.
For balanced performance and low noise, use PWM control to keep the fan near mid-range speeds under typical loads. Periodically check for dust buildup on blades and struts and clean as needed to maintain optimal airflow and acoustic characteristics.
