Power Supply Unit FSP ADVAN-850GM 850 W
The FSP ADVAN-850GM 850 W is an ATX power supply unit designed for desktop PCs. It delivers up to 850 W on a single powerful +12V rail, complies with Intel® Power Design Guide ATX 3.1, and supports 100–240 V input. The unit uses an LLC resonant-converter topology with synchronous rectifier and DC-to-DC design for the +5V and +3.3V rails to improve efficiency and voltage stability while relying on 105°C Japanese bulk capacitors for enhanced reliability.
This PSU is 80 PLUS Gold and Cybenetics Gold certified for high efficiency (≈90% typical), reducing power loss and heat. It includes a 120 mm hydraulic bearing fan with an ECO semi-fanless switch that enables zero-RPM silent operation under light loads. Fully modular cabling and premium black embossed cables simplify installation and cable routing. Dual PCIe 6+2 pin and a 12V-2x6 connector support modern, power-hungry GPUs and future hardware upgrades.
Install the FSP ADVAN-850GM into a compatible ATX case and connect the 20+4 pin ATX cable to the motherboard. Attach necessary PCIe and peripheral cables from the modular cable set to graphics cards, drives and other components. Set the ECO switch to ON for semi-fanless silent operation at light loads or OFF for continuous fan cooling under sustained high load. Ensure the PSU is connected to a properly rated mains outlet (100–240 V) and that your system grounding and cable routing provide adequate airflow.
For stable long-term operation, keep internal case airflow unobstructed and use the modular cables provided to minimize clutter. Switch to ECO mode for quieter operation during low-to-moderate workloads, and disable ECO when sustained high power draw is expected (e.g., prolonged gaming or rendering) to maintain optimal cooling.
