Flatbed & ADF scanner Ricoh fi-7700S
The Ricoh fi-7700S is a heavy-duty production scanner combining an ADF and a flatbed to handle high-volume, mixed-media scanning. It delivers up to 75 ppm (A4, landscape, color, 200/300 dpi) and supports a wide paper weight range (20–413 g/m²), document sizes from A8 to A3 and folded items up to A1 and longer. The unit includes a 300-sheet automatic document feeder that can rotate, a straight paper path for fragile or long documents, an LCD operation panel, and bundled PaperStream IP and PaperStream Capture software for image enhancement and batch capture.
The scanner offers consistent high-speed throughput (75 ppm) and a daily duty cycle rated at 30,000 documents, suitable for continuous production work. Flexible paper handling accommodates thin papers, envelopes, plastic cards and long or folded pages while the straight paper path and Paper Protect function (iSOP) reduce jams and protect originals. Independent side guides, a rotatable ADF and a flatbed enable easy alignment and scanning of mixed-size or delicate documents. Bundled PaperStream software provides TWAIN/ISIS drivers, image enhancement and batch capture workflows to streamline OCR and post-scan processing.
Load a batch into the 300-sheet ADF or place single, thick or bound items on the flatbed. Adjust the independent side guides to align mixed-size documents and select the appropriate paper weight or non-separation mode for thick or multi-layered sets. Use the LCD control panel to set scan parameters and start the job. For long or folded documents use the straight paper path and, if needed, rotate the ADF or open the flatbed cover to scan oversized items. Processed batches can be handled with PaperStream Capture to verify, perform image enhancement and export to folders or downstream systems.
For reliable results, regularly clean the paper path and rollers, use the appropriate separation mode for mixed or thick media, and verify PaperStream IP settings (resolution, color depth and image enhancement) before large batch jobs. Consider enabling Paper Protect (iSOP) to reduce the risk of jams when scanning diverse document sets.
