Tabletop miniatures set Games Workshop Warhammer 40k Astra Militarum Cadian Shock Troops (2023) boxed set
Games Workshop Warhammer 40k Astra Militarum Cadian Shock Troops (2023) boxed set is a multipart plastic infantry kit that builds ten Shock Troopers for use in tabletop wargaming. The kit provides a mix of standard lasgun-armed troopers, a Sergeant option, several special weapon options, and a vox-caster for battlefield communications. Supplied unpainted and requiring assembly, the set includes bases and a detailed transfer sheet to mark regimental insignia and squad numbers.
This boxed set offers a high level of customization with over 131 plastic components and more than 20 head variants, enabling varied poses and individualized squads. It includes a comprehensive selection of special weapons—flamer, grenade launcher, meltagun, and plasma gun—so a single box can equip a balanced infantry unit. The inclusion of 10 Citadel 25mm round bases and an extensive transfer sheet simplifies unit presentation and identification on the tabletop.
Carefully remove parts from sprues and clean mould lines before assembly. Follow the supplied assembly instructions to construct each Shock Trooper, choosing desired weapon and pose options. Attach the assembled models to the supplied 25mm bases. Apply transfers as needed to add squad numbers and regimental heraldry. Prime the assembled miniatures and use suitable model paints to achieve the intended color scheme.
For best results, use a plastic-specific adhesive for durable joins and a thin spray primer to preserve fine detail. Citadel Colour paints or equivalent acrylic hobby paints are recommended for consistent coverage; allow adequate drying time between layers. Store painted miniatures in a dust-free case and handle by the base to protect delicate components.
