GARMIN STRIKER 4 is a compact 3.5-inch CHIRP fishfinder with built-in high-sensitivity GPS designed for small boats and shore fishing. How to use

Mount the STRIKER 4 on a compatible tilt/swivel bracket or install the transducer on the transom or trolling motor using the supplied hardware. Power the unit from a suitable 12 V source and connect the transducer cable. Turn the unit on and allow the GPS to acquire a fix before marking waypoints. Use the keypad controls to switch sonar views, adjust sensitivity and zoom, and use Smooth Scaling™ for continuous imagery when changing depth ranges. While stationary, enable the built-in flasher to monitor vertical jigging or ice-fishing activity; while moving, monitor speed on screen to maintain recommended trolling speeds.

Usage recommendations

For best CHIRP performance in a wider range of depths, consider upgrading to a high-performance Garmin CHIRP transducer (GT8 or GT15) if you need clearer target separation or deeper coverage. Keep transducer mounting surfaces clean and ensure proper alignment to reduce noise. When using GPS waypoint navigation, allow the unit time to acquire and confirm satellite fixes before recording critical waypoints.
