Connector fitting GEBERIT Złączka C-STAHL 28 mm Rp 1" model 21708

GEBERIT Złączka C-STAHL 28 mm Rp 1" model 21708 is a metal connector fitting intended for plumbing and piping installations. It joins pipes or components mechanically using standardized Rp 1" threads and a 28 mm outer diameter. The fitting is made from steel and is designed for use in systems where a robust threaded connection is required for water supply and heating applications.

Advantages

The steel construction offers strength and dimensional stability under typical operating pressures and temperatures found in domestic and commercial water and heating systems. The standardized Rp 1" threaded interface ensures compatibility with common piping components that use parallel pipe threads, facilitating straightforward installation and replacement. Its 28 mm diameter makes it suitable for connections where that pipe size is specified, providing a reliable mechanical joint without the need for fusion or soldering.

Suitable for

• Connecting steel or compatible metal pipes in potable water supply systems
• Joining components in central heating and radiator circuits
• Repairs or replacements where a threaded Rp 1" connection is required
• Applications requiring a mechanical, non-welded pipe joint

Key specifications

• Material: steel (metal connector)
• Nominal pipe diameter: 28 mm
• Thread type: Rp 1" (parallel pipe thread)
• Connection method: threaded mechanical joint
• Typical applications: water supply and heating systems

How to use

Prepare mating pipe ends by ensuring threads are clean, undamaged and appropriately cut to suit Rp 1" parallel threads. Apply a suitable thread sealant or tape compatible with potable water if required by local codes, then hand-start the fitting onto the mating thread. Use a wrench to tighten to the torque recommended for the pipe material and thread size; avoid over-tightening which can damage threads or deform the fitting. After installation, inspect for leaks and perform a pressure test according to system requirements.

Usage recommendations

Use compatible materials and approved thread sealants for potable water or heating systems. Follow local plumbing standards and manufacturer guidelines for torque and pressure testing. Replace any fitting that shows signs of thread damage, corrosion, or leakage.
