How to use

Place the mortar on a stable, non-slip surface. Use the larger bowl for preparing pestos and herb pastes by adding herbs, garlic, salt and oil and crushing with the ergonomic pestle until the desired consistency is reached. Flip the mortar to use the smaller bowl for grinding spices or peppercorns; apply firm, circular pressure with the pestle and continue until the spices reach the required texture.
