Wire cup brush GEKO model 5901477181559 brass-plated waved wire 17 mm, pack 200
GEKO wire cup brush with brass-plated waved wire, 17 mm diameter, supplied in a pack of 200. This brush is designed for surface cleaning, deburring and removal of rust and paint from metal parts. It is intended for use with grinders and rotary tools that accept cup brushes and is suitable for industrial and workshop applications where aggressive yet controlled material removal is required.
The brass-plated waved wire construction offers a balance between abrasive action and reduced risk of scratching softer base metals. The waved profile increases contact area and provides consistent material removal while maintaining brush shape over extended use. Supplied in a bulk pack of 200, this product supports frequent replacement in high-volume operations and reduces downtime for maintenance and cleaning tasks.
This brush is not intended for use on delicate or highly polished finishes where any wire contact could cause visible scratching. It is also not suitable for materials that are extremely soft or brittle, where wire filaments may cause unintended damage. For applications requiring non-abrasive cleaning or very fine surface finishes, consider less aggressive alternatives such as nylon abrasive brushes or chemical cleaners.
Mount the wire cup brush securely on a compatible grinder or rotary tool following the tool manufacturer's instructions. Use appropriate rotational speed recommended for cup brushes and apply light to moderate pressure, allowing the wire filaments to do the cutting. Move the brush steadily across the workpiece to avoid concentrating wear in one spot. Replace brushes when filaments are worn, distorted or when performance declines.
Always wear eye protection, gloves and hearing protection when operating power tools. Check brush balance at low speed before full operation and avoid excessive side pressure. Store brushes in a dry place to prevent corrosion of backing components and inspect regularly for filament wear or damage.
