Thermal Paste Gelid GC-Extreme 1 g — high-performance thermal compound for CPUs and GPUs
Gelid GC-Extreme 1 g is a high-performance thermal paste formulated to improve heat transfer between CPUs, GPUs and their cooling solutions. Supplied in a small syringe-style tube, the compound is intended for application during assembly or maintenance to fill microscopic surface imperfections and reduce thermal resistance. The product is suitable for systems that require efficient heat dissipation to support stable operation under load.
The compound offers low thermal resistance and consistent thermal conductivity to support efficient cooling. Its paste-like consistency allows for precise application from a 1 g tube, minimizing waste while covering typical CPU and GPU heat spreaders. The formula is electrically non-conductive and provides stable performance over typical operating temperature ranges, helping to maintain lower junction temperatures and potentially extend component longevity.
Clean the CPU or GPU heat spreader and the cooler contact surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth before applying the thermal paste. Apply a small, pea-sized or rice-grain-sized amount to the center of the processor heat spreader, then mount the cooler and tighten evenly to spread the compound. For more even coverage on large heat spreaders, a thin, uniform line or cross method can be used, taking care not to apply excessive paste. After installation, monitor temperatures to confirm proper contact and reapply if necessary during future maintenance.
Store the tube at room temperature, tightly capped to prevent drying. Use gloves or avoid skin contact, and keep the product out of reach of children. For best results, reapply thermal paste whenever the cooler is removed or during scheduled system maintenance.
