HDD mounting bracket Gembird MF321 Metal frame for 2.5'' SSD to 3.5'' bay
HDD mounting bracket Gembird MF321 Metal frame for 2.5'' SSD to 3.5'' bay
The Gembird MF321 metal mounting frame enables installation of a 2.5" SSD into a standard 3.5" internal drive bay. Constructed from sheet metal, the frame provides a compact, low-profile adapter that aligns a 2.5" solid state drive with mounting points and screw holes used in 3.5" chassis bays. Its dimensions are approximately 119.6 mm (width) × 31.8 mm (depth) × 15.6 mm (height), making it suitable for desktop PC cases and other enclosures that accept 3.5" drives.
The metal construction offers rigidity and stable fixation for a 2.5" SSD, reducing vibration and maintaining alignment for SATA power and data connectors. The simple universal design is compatible with most 3.5" bays and requires no special tooling for installation. Its low profile preserves internal airflow and keeps the SSD securely mounted in standard computer chassis.
Position the 2.5" SSD in the frame so its connector end aligns with the open side of the adapter, then secure the drive to the metal frame using the provided screw holes and compatible screws. Insert the assembled frame into the 3.5" bay and fasten it to the chassis using the bay mounting holes. After mechanical installation, connect SATA power and data cables from the power supply and motherboard to the SSD and verify that the drive is recognized by the system BIOS or operating system.
Ensure screws are tightened securely but not overtightened to avoid damaging the SSD casing or threads; maintain appropriate cable clearance for airflow and service access. Use anti-static precautions when handling the drive and frame.
