Genius ECam 8000 is a compact Full HD webcam featuring a 2 MP sensor and a maximum video resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The camera connects via USB and secures to monitors or laptop screens with a convenient clip mount. Its red housing measures 54.5×67.5×90.6 mm and the unit weighs 0.082 kg. Compatible with Windows 7/8/8.1/10 and macOS (El Capitan–Mojave), this webcam is designed for straightforward installation and everyday use in video calls, remote work and online teaching.
The ECam 8000 delivers Full HD 1920×1080 video from a 2 MP sensor, providing clear image detail for conferencing and recordings. The USB interface ensures wide compatibility and simple plug-and-play connection without additional adapters. A clip mounting system allows a secure fit on a variety of monitor and laptop screen thicknesses. The compact dimensions and light weight make it portable and easy to reposition as needed.
Attach the webcam to the top edge of your monitor or laptop screen using the clip mount and adjust the angle for the desired framing. Connect the integrated USB cable to an available USB port on your computer; the device uses the USB connection for both power and video signal. Allow the operating system to detect and install drivers automatically or install manufacturer drivers if required. Open your video conferencing or recording application, select the ECam 8000 as the camera source, and adjust application settings (resolution, microphone, zoom/crop) as needed.
Position the webcam at eye level to achieve natural framing and reduce neck strain. For improved image quality in low light, enable additional room lighting or position a light source behind the monitor. When using the webcam for teaching or presentations, test audio and video settings before a session and close unnecessary applications to ensure stable performance.
