Gewiss GW52003 Polyamide Cable Gland, PG11, Grey
The Gewiss GW52003 is a professional-grade polyamide cable gland engineered to provide secure cable entry and effective strain relief in various electrical installations. Finished in a neutral grey color, this component is designed to maintain the integrity of electrical enclosures by ensuring a tight seal around cables, preventing the ingress of dust and moisture. Its durable construction makes it a reliable choice for maintaining organized and protected wiring systems in both industrial and commercial environments.
This cable gland offers exceptional mechanical strength and resistance to environmental factors due to its high-quality polyamide composition. The design facilitates a straightforward installation process while providing consistent strain relief, which helps to prevent cable damage and connection failures over time. By ensuring a secure fit, it contributes to the overall safety and longevity of electrical systems, meeting the rigorous demands of professional electrical infrastructure.
This cable gland is designed for specific PG11 thread standards and may not be compatible with enclosures or conduits requiring metric or NPT threading. It is also not intended for high-temperature environments or applications involving exposure to harsh chemicals that could degrade polyamide materials.
To install the Gewiss GW52003, insert the threaded end through the pre-drilled 1.9 cm mounting hole in your enclosure. Secure the gland in place using the provided locknut on the interior side. Once fixed, loosen the dome nut, insert your cable through the gland, and tighten the dome nut firmly to compress the internal seal around the cable jacket, ensuring a secure and weather-resistant connection.
For optimal performance and to maintain the intended ingress protection rating, ensure that the dome nut is tightened sufficiently to create a uniform seal around the cable. Avoid overtightening with metal tools to prevent damage to the polyamide threads.
