Gewiss GW52007 Polyamide Cable Gland, PG29, Grey
The Gewiss GW52007 is a professional-grade polyamide cable gland engineered to provide secure cable entry and effective strain relief in electrical enclosures. Designed with a focus on durability and reliability, this component ensures that cables remain firmly in place while protecting internal connections from environmental factors. Its robust construction makes it a dependable choice for maintaining the integrity of wiring systems in both industrial and commercial environments.
This cable gland offers superior mechanical strength due to its high-quality polyamide material, which provides excellent resistance to impact and environmental stress. The design facilitates a quick and secure installation process, ensuring a tight seal that prevents dust and moisture from entering the enclosure. By providing effective strain relief, it significantly reduces the risk of cable damage or disconnection, thereby enhancing the overall safety and longevity of the electrical installation.
This product is specifically designed for use with PG29 threaded ports and may not be compatible with enclosures requiring metric or NPT threading without the use of appropriate adapters. It is intended for standard industrial and commercial applications and may not be suitable for extreme environments involving high-pressure washdowns or exposure to specific aggressive chemicals that could degrade polyamide materials.
To install the Gewiss GW52007, insert the cable through the gland body before securing the gland into the pre-drilled 37 mm mounting hole of the enclosure. Tighten the locknut firmly to ensure the gland is securely attached to the housing. Once the gland is mounted, pass the cable through the center and tighten the dome nut to compress the internal seal around the cable jacket, ensuring a secure grip and environmental seal.
For optimal performance and to maintain the integrity of the seal, ensure the dome nut is tightened sufficiently to grip the cable jacket without over-tightening, which could deform the internal sealing element. Regularly inspect the connection during routine maintenance to ensure the nut remains secure.
