Ski/Snowboard Goggles GIRO Article II Purple Faded Rails with VIVID Carl Zeiss PINK (19–42% S2) and INFRARED (43–79% S1) lenses

The GIRO Article II Purple Faded Rails are women's ski and snowboard goggles supplied with two VIVID Carl Zeiss mirrored lenses: PINK (visible light transmission 19–42%, category S2) for variable or mixed light and INFRARED (43–79%, category S1) for low-light and overcast conditions. The frame is designed for helmet compatibility and on-mountain use, offering quick lens interchange, VIVID contrast-enhancing optics and a fit tailored for a women's facial profile. These goggles target recreational and all-mountain riders who need clear optics and versatile lens options across changing weather.

Advantages

GIRO Article II goggles combine Carl Zeiss VIVID lens technology with mirrored coatings to improve contrast and reduce glare. The two included lenses cover a broad light-range: a mid-transmission lens for mixed to partly sunny days and a high-transmission lens for flat or low-light conditions. The frame is helmet-compatible, has anti-fog ventilation features and allows fast lens swapping to adapt to evolving conditions on the mountain.

Suitable for

• Women recreational skiers and snowboarders seeking versatile optics for variable light
• All-mountain use where quick lens changes are helpful
• Helmet users requiring a compatible goggle fit
• Riders who value contrast enhancement and reduced glare

When it may not be suitable

These goggles are optimized for on-mountain recreational use and may not be ideal for specialized activities that require frameless, ultra-wide peripheral vision or extreme sports with atypical impact demands. If you require prescription lens integration or a very large fit for wider facial dimensions, consider checking fit and prescription compatibility before purchase.

How to use

Select the lens appropriate for current light: use the PINK VIVID lens (19–42% VLT, S2) for mixed or partly sunny conditions and the INFRARED VIVID lens (43–79% VLT, S1) for low-light or overcast days. Ensure the goggles sit comfortably with your helmet: position the strap over the helmet and adjust tension for a secure but not overly tight fit. Before riding, check vents are unobstructed and clean the lenses with a soft microfiber cloth to preserve coatings. Swap lenses when visibility changes, following the frame's quick-release procedure to avoid touching inner anti-fog surfaces.

What to consider before purchase

• Confirm helmet compatibility and overall fit for your face shape
• Consider whether the included VLT ranges (S1 and S2) suit the typical light conditions you ride in
• If you wear prescription glasses, check for OTG (over-the-glasses) compatibility or plan for prescription inserts
• Understand care requirements for mirrored and anti-fog coatings to maintain performance

Usage recommendations

Store lenses in a protective case when not in use, avoid wiping the inner anti-fog surface when dry, and perform lens swaps in clean, sheltered areas on the mountain to prevent scratches and contamination.
