GlareOne ISO Hot Shoe to 1/4" Thread Adapter

The GlareOne ISO Hot Shoe to 1/4" Thread Adapter is a professional mounting solution designed to bridge the gap between standard camera hot shoe interfaces and equipment requiring a universal 1/4" male thread. This compact and robust adapter allows users to transform a camera's hot shoe into a versatile mounting point, enabling the integration of various external accessories directly onto the camera body or cage.

Advantages

This adapter provides exceptional utility by allowing photographers and videographers to expand their camera rigs without the need for complex mounting systems. Its durable construction ensures a stable and secure connection for mounted equipment, minimizing the risk of accidental detachment during operation. The universal nature of the 1/4" thread makes it compatible with a vast array of industry-standard photographic and video gear, offering a seamless workflow for professionals and enthusiasts alike.

Suitable for

• Mounting LED panels and video lights
• Attaching external microphones
• Securing field monitors
• Adding small ball heads or articulating arms

This adapter may not be suitable for mounting heavy or unbalanced equipment that exceeds the structural load capacity of a standard camera hot shoe. It is also not intended for use with devices that require an electronic connection through the hot shoe pins, as this adapter is a purely mechanical mounting interface.

Key specifications

• Interface: ISO hot shoe to 1/4" male thread
• Material: Durable metal construction
• Compatibility: Standard camera hot shoe mounts
• Application: Mechanical accessory mounting

To use the adapter, simply slide the base into the camera's hot shoe slot until it is fully seated. Once positioned, tighten the locking ring to ensure the adapter remains firmly in place. After the adapter is secured, you can screw your desired accessory, such as a microphone or light, onto the 1/4" male thread until it is hand-tight.

What to consider before purchase

• Check if your camera hot shoe is a standard ISO type
• Ensure the weight of your accessory is appropriate for a hot shoe mount
• Verify that your accessory utilizes a 1/4" female thread

For optimal stability, always ensure the locking ring is fully tightened before attaching heavy accessories, and periodically check the connection during extended shooting sessions to maintain security.
