LED ring light Godox LR120B 120W 5500K, daylight-balanced 120W continuous output

Godox LR120B is a 120W LED ring light with a daylight-balanced 5500K color temperature. The circular design produces uniform illumination with soft falloff, helping to reduce harsh shadows and create attractive catchlights in the eyes. This continuous-output fixture is intended for portrait, beauty, product and video work where stable, even lighting and simple control are required.

Advantages

The 120W power delivers high output suitable for close-up and mid-distance shooting while maintaining low heat generation compared with traditional tungsten lamps. A fixed 5500K color temperature provides consistent daylight-balanced light for natural skin tones and accurate color rendition without the need for constant color correction. The ring form factor produces even illumination around the lens axis, simplifies shadow control, and enhances subject separation. Durable LED construction ensures long operating life and immediate full output without warm-up.

Suitable for

• Portrait and headshot photography
• Beauty and makeup tutorials
• Product photography for e‑commerce
• Video streaming, vlogs and interview lighting

Key specifications

• Continuous output: 120 watts
• Color temperature: 5500K (daylight-balanced)
• Light source: LED
• Form factor: ring light for even frontal illumination
• Designed for studio and on-location use with stands or mounts compatible with ring fixtures

How to use

Mount the Godox LR120B on a compatible light stand or ring-mount support at the desired height and position it around the camera lens or slightly offset for creative shadow shaping. Power the unit from an appropriate mains source and set the distance and angle relative to the subject to achieve the required light intensity and catchlight size. For portrait work, position the ring so the eyes receive direct reflection from the ring surface; for product shots, adjust distance and angle to minimize unwanted reflections and ensure even surface illumination.

Usage recommendations

Use neutral or diffusion modifiers and background separation techniques to avoid flat-looking images when lighting full-body or environmental shots. Combine the LR120B with a back or hair light to add depth, and consider using camera white balance set to daylight (around 5500K) for accurate color reproduction.
