Video switch GOOBAY 58485 — HDMI video port, compact 52×49.5×22.5 mm
GOOBAY 58485 is a compact bidirectional HDMI video switch designed to toggle between two HDMI devices and a single HDMI display or to route one HDMI source to two displays when used in the opposite direction. The unit measures 52 × 49.5 × 22.5 mm and ships as a single piece per pack. It supports manual selection via a push button, is HDCP-compliant and can handle resolutions up to 4K at 30 Hz. The switch is powered by the connected HDMI device and does not require an external power adapter. The device is intended for simple HDMI signal selection in home AV setups, small offices, or with monitors, TVs and media players where a compact, cable-saving switching solution is needed.
The compact size and bidirectional design allow flexible placement and use without an external power supply. Manual push-button selection eliminates the need to reconnect HDMI cables, reducing wear on connectors and saving setup time. Support for 4K @ 30 Hz, 3D and HDCP ensures compatibility with a wide range of HDMI sources and displays used in consumer AV environments.
Connect the two HDMI source devices and the display using standard HDMI cables. Use the push button on the switch to select which connected device is routed to the display (or which display receives the signal when used in reverse). The switch draws power from the connected HDMI device; ensure at least one connected device provides the necessary HDMI power. After switching, allow a few seconds for the display and source to negotiate resolution and HDCP handshake.
Use high-quality HDMI cables rated for the desired resolution. For best results at 4K @ 30 Hz, use cables that explicitly support 4K. If a connected device does not supply sufficient power over HDMI, or if HDCP handshake issues occur, try power-cycling the devices or connecting a different source. The switch is not a splitter — it cannot mirror one source to multiple displays simultaneously.
