Keystone module GOOBAY 79909 — flat USB A insert, white, 17.2 mm
Keystone module GOOBAY 79909 — flat USB A insert, white, 17.2 mm
GOOBAY keystone module 79909 is a flat white insert that provides two USB A (Type A) female sockets in a compact 17.2 mm wide format. Designed for use with standard keystone wall plates, patch panels and installation housings, this single-piece module enables easy integration of USB 2.0 data and charging ports into custom installation panels and media outlets. Its slim profile and snap-in mounting make it suitable where space is limited and a neat, modular connection point for USB cables is required.
The module offers two USB 2.0 Type A ports in a slim keystone format that fits common wall plates and patch panels. Constructed with a robust plastic housing, it is intended for repeated use and stable mechanical fit. The flat, snap-in design simplifies installation and replacement in modular faceplates without special tools. As a dedicated USB A female insert, it standardises access to USB connections for charging and data transfer in built environments.
Insert the keystone module into a compatible keystone opening of a wall plate, patch panel or installation housing until it snaps into place. From the rear side of the plate, connect appropriate internal USB cable assemblies or wiring harnesses to the module’s USB A female sockets following the installation layout. Once installed, connect external USB A cables to the front ports for charging or data transfer. Ensure the internal cabling is routed and secured to avoid strain on the module and connectors.
For reliable performance, use USB 2.0 compatible cables and devices. Verify that the connected power source or hub supports required charging currents; this module provides mechanical USB A access but does not alter power delivery specifications. Install in keystone-compliant faceplates and patch panels to ensure secure fit and maintain cable management to prevent connector strain.
