Hager VZ016M Cable Gland IP65 M16
The Hager VZ016M is a professional-grade M16 cable gland engineered to provide a secure and reliable entry point for cables into electrical enclosures. Designed to maintain the structural and protective integrity of distribution boards, this component ensures that cable connections remain stable while preventing the ingress of external contaminants. Its robust construction makes it a standard choice for both residential and industrial electrical infrastructure projects where safety and durability are paramount.
This cable gland offers superior protection against environmental factors, ensuring that the internal components of your electrical housing remain shielded from dust and moisture. The design facilitates a quick and secure installation process, reducing the time required for assembly while providing a firm grip on the cable to prevent accidental disconnection or strain. By utilizing high-quality materials, the Hager VZ016M maintains its performance over time, offering a long-lasting solution for maintaining the IP65 rating of your electrical cabinets.
This cable gland is designed specifically for M16 sized openings and is not compatible with cables or housing ports of different diameters. It is also not intended for high-pressure water environments or submerged applications, as it is rated for IP65 protection rather than full waterproofing.
To install the Hager VZ016M, first ensure that the enclosure opening is clean and free of debris. Insert the threaded end of the gland through the designated hole in the electrical enclosure. Secure the gland in place using the provided locking nut on the interior side of the housing. Once the gland is firmly attached, loosen the outer cap, insert your cable through the gland, and tighten the cap securely to compress the internal seal around the cable jacket, ensuring a tight fit.
For optimal performance and to maintain the IP65 integrity, ensure the outer cap is tightened sufficiently to create a uniform seal around the cable. Avoid overtightening with metal tools to prevent damage to the plastic threads.
