HAPPET sponge filter U-JET3 for 50–100 L aquariums, aquarium filtration accessory
HAPPET sponge filter U-JET3 is designed for aquariums with a volume of 50–100 L. The compact filtration accessory combines a porous sponge element and a water flow regulator to deliver mechanical and biological filtration while maintaining gentle water movement. It supports colonization of nitrifying bacteria on the sponge surface, captures suspended particles and debris, and contributes to oxygenation when connected to an air pump or internal flow. The product is intended for freshwater aquaria, including breeding setups, shrimp tanks and fry protection where low suction and stable bacterial filtration are important.
The U-JET3 sponge filter provides combined mechanical and biological filtration in a single unit, enabling continuous removal of particulate matter while promoting beneficial bacterial growth. Its sponge element is easy to rinse and replace, reducing maintenance time and preserving biological activity. The design produces mild water currents suitable for delicate inhabitants, and the unit can be used with a range of air pumps or small powerheads to adjust flow and aeration according to tank needs.
Install the U-JET3 sponge filter in the aquarium at an appropriate location where the gentle flow will circulate water without stressing inhabitants. Connect the outlet to an air pump or compatible small powerhead according to the desired flow and aeration; adjust the pump output or position to obtain suitable water movement. Prime the unit if necessary and ensure the sponge is fully submerged. Perform periodic rinsing of the sponge in tank water to remove accumulated debris while preserving beneficial bacteria; replace the sponge element when it shows excessive wear or cannot be cleaned effectively.
For best results, pair the sponge filter with a low-noise air pump and avoid high-flow powerheads that may generate strong currents. When rinsing the sponge, use aquarium water rather than tap water to maintain biological colonization. Regular visual checks and gentle maintenance will keep filtration effective in breeding, shrimp and small-fish setups.
