Heat shrink tube Hellermann Tyton 380-03004

The HellermannTyton 380-03004 heat shrink tube is made of durable polyolefin and is supplied in black and transparent colors. The black tubing is intended primarily for environmental sealing of splices and connectors, while the transparent tubing is typically used for protection of cable markers. The material provides reliable insulation and mechanical protection and, when heated, shrinks to form a secure, moisture- and chemical-resistant seal suitable for automotive, electrical and industrial applications.

Advantages

This heat shrink tube delivers strong shrink performance with a 3:1 shrink ratio and an adhesive liner that improves sealing against moisture and contaminants. Constructed from polyolefin, it offers good electrical insulation, chemical resistance and mechanical durability. Available in black for splice and connector protection and transparent for marker protection, it supports a range of wiring and cabling tasks.

Suitable for

• Sealing splices and connectors in automotive wiring
• Insulating and protecting electrical joints in industrial equipment
• Protecting cable markers and identifying wiring
• Moisture- and chemical-resistant applications

How to use

Select the correct tube diameter for the cable or splice. Slide the tubing over the joint, splice or cable marker before making final connections if possible. Apply heat evenly using a heat gun or approved heating tool until the tubing shrinks tightly around the component and the adhesive liner flows to form a seal. Allow the assembly to cool before handling.

Usage recommendations

Use an appropriate temperature-controlled heat source and avoid open flames. For best results, ensure surfaces are clean and free of oil or debris before applying the tubing; follow applicable industry safety standards for electrical work.
