To install the Helukabel KM-EMV locknut, slide the cable gland through the mounting hole of your enclosure. Thread the locknut onto the gland from the inside of the housing. As you tighten the locknut using an appropriate wrench, the integrated cutting edges will bite into the surface of the enclosure, effectively removing any paint or coating to establish a secure electrical contact for grounding and shielding purposes.
For optimal performance and shielding continuity, ensure that the locknut is tightened sufficiently to allow the cutting edges to make full contact with the conductive base material of the enclosure.
