The Hensel AKM 40 M40 cable gland in white polyamide provides a secure, threaded entry for cables into electrical enclosures and junction boxes. Designed for knockouts sized for M40, this cable gland offers a sealing range of Ø 19–28 mm, strain relief and a locknut for reliable mechanical retention. Constructed from corrosion-resistant polymer, it is suitable for both indoor and protected outdoor use as well as harsher outdoor installations when correctly fitted. The product meets high safety criteria including glow wire resistance and offers IP66/IP67 protection against dust and water ingress.

It is designed for installations into panels or enclosures with wall thicknesses up to 3 mm; thicker panels will require a different gland or adapter. For applications with ambient temperatures below −25 °C or above +55 °C, consult a product suited to those temperature extremes.
