Network Video Recorder Hikvision DS-7632NXI-K2 32 Channels 4K
The Hikvision DS-7632NXI-K2 32 Channels 4K is a 1U network video recorder designed for multi-camera IP surveillance systems. It supports up to 32 channels with a maximum input resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and provides local HDMI output at up to 4K. The recorder accepts up to two SATA hard drives, with a maximum capacity of 10 TB per drive, and delivers synchronized playback of up to 16 channels. Network connectivity is provided by a self-adaptive 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet port and the unit includes two USB 2.0 ports for local data export and device connection.
The DS-7632NXI-K2 combines H.265+ compression to reduce storage requirements by up to 75% with stream-over-TLS encryption for more secure video transmission. Smart functions include Motion Detection 2.0 across all channels, smart search and playback tools for faster evidence review, and facial recognition capabilities (1-channel for video stream or 4-channel for face pictures). Dual video outputs (HDMI and VGA) support flexible monitoring setups while multiple ports ensure straightforward integration with network and storage devices.
Install the DS-7632NXI-K2 in a suitable 1U rack space or on a stable shelf, connect cameras to your network, and attach up to two SATA hard drives for recording. Connect the device to your monitoring display with HDMI or VGA and to your network via the 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet port. Use the recorder’s web interface, client software or Hik-Connect for initial configuration, channel allocation, recording schedules and to enable smart functions such as Motion Detection 2.0 and facial recognition. Export footage via the front USB ports when needed for evidence or backup.
For reliable long-term recording, use enterprise-grade SATA HDDs that match the maximum supported capacity and configure H.265+ compression to balance image quality and storage needs. Ensure the recorder firmware and client software are kept up to date, and enable stream-over-TLS to protect video transmission. Regularly verify scheduled recordings and periodically test smart search and playback functions to confirm event retrieval performance.
