IP security camera Hikvision Pro Series DS-2CD2746G2HT-IZS(2.8-12)
The Hikvision Pro Series DS-2CD2746G2HT-IZS(2.8-12) is an outdoor IP security camera designed for continuous surveillance in commercial and residential environments. Featuring a 2688 x 1520 resolution CMOS sensor in a vandal-resistant dome form factor, the camera supports ceiling or wall mounting and offers 360° rotation. The motorized varifocal lens (2.8–12 mm) provides a horizontal field of view from 105.4° to 34.3° and a vertical field from 56.1° to 19.3°, enabling wide-area coverage and telephoto detail. The camera captures video at up to 30 fps and is intended for wired Ethernet installations in outdoor placements. It is supplied in black and weighs approximately 0.82 kg.
The camera combines high-resolution imaging with a motorized varifocal lens to balance wide coverage and detail on demand. Wired Ethernet connectivity ensures stable network performance and low-latency video delivery, while the dome enclosure and ceiling/wall mounting options simplify installation for varied site layouts. Built-in video motion detection supports event-driven recording and monitoring, and the optics and sensor allow reliable detection at both wide-angle and telephoto settings.
Mount the camera on a stable ceiling or wall surface using appropriate anchors and follow local wiring practices to connect to a PoE switch or power supply and the network. Configure the camera's IP address, streaming parameters and recording settings via the Hikvision web interface or management software. Adjust the motorized varifocal lens and rotation to set the desired field of view, then fine-tune focus and exposure for the installation lighting conditions. Enable motion detection and retention policies to optimize storage.
For reliable long-term outdoor performance, install the camera with correct weatherproofing at cable entry points and maintain a clear line of sight free of obstructions. Use wired Ethernet with PoE where possible to ensure stable power and network connectivity. Regularly verify firmware is up to date and test motion detection zones after installation to reduce false triggers.
