IP security camera Hikvision DS-2DE4425IW-DE(T5) Dome — 4 MP, 25x optical zoom, 2560×1440, IR 100 m, PTZ, PoE, IP66
The Hikvision DS-2DE4425IW-DE(T5) Dome is an outdoor IP security camera that captures video at a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Designed for wired network installations, this white dome camera combines a CMOS image sensor with motorized pan/tilt and a 25x optical zoom plus 16x digital zoom to deliver detailed surveillance images across a wide area. The unit supports mounting on ceilings or walls and provides a horizontal field of view of 55° and a vertical field of view of 33°, making it suitable for perimeter monitoring, entrance coverage and general outdoor observation.
The camera provides high-resolution 2.8MP imaging and a high-performance CMOS sensor for clear daytime and improved low-light capture. Motorized pan/tilt movement together with the 25x optical zoom enables precise framing and identification of distant objects without frequent manual repositioning. Wired Ethernet connectivity ensures stable data transmission and integration with network video recorders or VMS platforms. A compact dome form factor and weather-capable placement support make it convenient for discrete outdoor installation.
Install the dome camera using an appropriate ceiling or wall bracket and route a network cable to the camera for power and data if Power over Ethernet is not used. Configure network settings and access the camera through a web interface or compatible video management software to set resolution, frame rate and zoom presets. Use the motorized pan/tilt controls and optical zoom to define patrol patterns and preset positions; enable video motion detection if required for event-driven recording. Ensure firmware is up to date and integrate the camera with your recorder or VMS according to the system architecture.
Position the camera to minimize direct sun or strong backlight in the field of view and select presets to cover high-priority zones. For reliable network performance, use a dedicated wired connection and verify environmental sealing at the mount to maintain outdoor protection. Regularly check lens cleanliness and update firmware to keep image quality and security features current.
