Video Intercom System Hikvision DS-KD8003Y-IME2/S 2 MP Black Stainless Steel
The Hikvision DS-KD8003Y-IME2/S is a 2 MP video intercom unit designed for outdoor entrance communication and monitoring. The device provides a wide 146° horizontal and 82° vertical field of view from its fixed camera, supports night vision up to 3 m using IR LEDs, and integrates an omnidirectional microphone for clear two-way audio. Constructed in stainless steel with IP65 environmental protection, the unit is intended for reliable operation in exposed external locations and includes both flash and internal memory to support system functions and temporary data storage.
The intercom combines a high-resolution 2 MP camera with a wide viewing angle, enabling broad coverage of entry areas without the need for multiple devices. Night-vision capability with infrared LEDs ensures visibility in low-light conditions up to approximately 3 meters. The omnidirectional microphone captures audio from all directions for natural voice pickup during communication. Stainless-steel construction and IP65 ingress protection provide resistance to dust and water, improving long-term reliability outdoors. Built-in flash and internal memory support device configuration and short-term recording or log storage.
Mount the unit at the desired entrance height following local installation standards, ensuring the camera field of view covers the intended area. Connect the intercom to the building network and power supply as specified by the system integration plan. Configure audio, video, and network parameters through the management software or local interface, and register the unit with the central access control or video-management system. Test two-way audio, camera framing, and night-vision performance after installation to confirm correct operation.
For reliable performance, install the unit with a slight downward tilt to avoid sun glare and water pooling. Keep firmware up to date and perform periodic cleaning of the stainless-steel surface and camera window to maintain image clarity. Use the device with compatible access control systems and follow local wiring and grounding practices to ensure proper operation and safety.
