IP security camera Hikvision IDS-2CD7A46G0-IZHSY(2.8-12MM)(C) Outdoor
The Hikvision IDS-2CD7A46G0-IZHSY(2.8-12MM)(C) Outdoor IP security camera delivers 2560 x 1440 resolution imaging in a bullet form factor designed for wired outdoor surveillance. Equipped with a CMOS sensor and motorized/manual focus with a 2.8–12 mm varifocal lens, the camera provides a horizontal field of view from 114.5° to 41.8° and a detection distance up to 60 meters. The unit supports ceiling and wall mounting, is finished in white, and connects via Ethernet LAN for stable wired operation. Core features include video motion detection and a frame rate of up to 30 fps, making it suitable for continuous monitoring and event-triggered recording.
The camera combines high-resolution 2560 x 1440 imaging with a varifocal lens and motorized/manual focus, enabling flexible framing and precise focus adjustment without altering other system components. Wired Ethernet connectivity ensures reliable data transmission and power options compatible with PoE-enabled installations. With a robust horizontal viewing angle range and a long detection distance, the device is adapted for broad outdoor coverage while supporting both ceiling and wall mounting orientations. Video motion detection and a 30 fps frame rate support responsive surveillance and clear recorded footage.
Plan the installation location to cover the target area within the camera’s horizontal viewing angle and detection distance. Mount the camera on a suitable ceiling or wall surface using compatible mounting hardware and ensure the housing is securely fastened. Connect the camera via Ethernet LAN to a network video recorder (NVR), PoE switch, or network infrastructure that provides power and data. Configure camera settings such as resolution, frame rate, and motion detection zones through the Hikvision management interface or compatible VMS. Verify focus and framing using the motorized/manual focus controls and adjust the varifocal lens to achieve the desired field of view.
Position the camera to minimise direct exposure to strong light sources and ensure regular cleaning of the lens to maintain image clarity. Use wired Ethernet connections and PoE-enabled network equipment for reliable power and data delivery. Regularly review motion detection settings and firmware updates via the official Hikvision tools to maintain performance and security.
