How to use

Connect the XL-2610 to a host computer using the supplied USB cable (or RS232 if required). Place the scanner on a stable surface or mount at the checkout position. Aim the scanner at the barcode, ensuring the code is within the scanning field and within the 5–280 mm decoding range; the device will capture and decode automatically. Adjust volume and tone using the scanner settings to suit ambient noise levels. For on-screen barcodes, set screen brightness to a comfortable level to improve detection.

Usage recommendations

For best performance, keep the scanning window clean and avoid direct, intense sunlight on the sensor. Use USB-HID mode for plug-and-play operation with most POS systems; switch to USB-VCP or RS232 when serial communication or custom integration is required.
