Thermostat Homematic IP HMIP-eTRV

The Homematic IP Radiator Thermostat (Thermostat Homematic IP HMIP-eTRV) is a battery-powered digital radiator valve actuator for the Homematic IP smart home system. It replaces conventional radiator thermostats, fits M30 valve threads and comes with adapters for Danfoss valves. The device is powered by two AA batteries and can operate for up to 2 years. How to use

Install the valve head onto the radiator valve with the included metal union nut or Danfoss adapter without altering the heating system. Insert two AA batteries and follow the Homematic IP app or Wall Thermostat instructions to add the device to the Homematic IP system. Set desired room temperature directly on the device, via the Wall Thermostat, or in the app. In the app, create up to three weekly profiles with up to six heating phases per day to automate temperature changes. Optionally pair with Homematic IP Window/Door Contact devices so the thermostat reduces heat output automatically when a window is detected as open.

Usage recommendations

For optimal energy saving and comfort, create separate weekly profiles for different rooms, use window/door contacts in frequently ventilated rooms, and replace batteries promptly when the app indicates low battery. Avoid forcing the valve manually to prevent damage to the actuator.
