Description

The Homematic IP interface for gas meters provides real-time display of gas consumption in the Homematic IP app and enables long-term monitoring of measured values. The interface is designed for direct mounting on compatible meters and transfers meter readings and current power values so you can track consumption and, where applicable, feed-in values.

Advantages

The device reads measurement data via the meter's optical data interface (IEC 62056-21) and supports D0 Mode A to D and SML protocols. It is compatible with modern meters that have an information interface (mME) and transmits all meter readings and current performance. Installation is simple and requires no specialist knowledge: a magnetic sensor is attached to the metal plate around the optical interface, connected to the interface and integrated via the Homematic IP app. The interface works with feed-in and consumption meters, bi-directional meters, single-tariff and dual-tariff meters.

How to use

Install the interface only on meters that provide an IEC 62056-21 optical data interface (mME). The device does not support the Idis CII protocol used in some Austrian meters. Ensure the sensor is firmly fixed to the meter plate for reliable data capture.
