Label printer Honeywell PM45 Compact Thermal transfer 300x300 DPI 300 mm/sec Wired
The Honeywell PM45 is a compact industrial thermal transfer label printer designed to support smart labeling solutions for manufacturing and supply chain operations. It delivers high-resolution printing (up to 300 x 300 DPI) and fast throughput (up to 300 mm/sec / 14 ips) while offering flexible connectivity and modular interfaces to accommodate evolving deployment requirements.
The PM45 provides consistent print registration (up to ±0.5 mm) for accurate barcodes, text and images on small components and medical labels. Built on Honeywell’s print platform, it offers strong durability with an all-metal print mechanism and tool-free maintenance for the printhead and platen roller. Enhanced connectivity options — including wired networking and optional WWAN — plus support for multiple print languages and variable network protocols enable straightforward integration with cloud or local systems. Embedded Smart Parse and Operational Intelligence software simplify label changes and remote monitoring without extensive backend modifications.
Install the PM45 on a stable surface and connect to a power source and your network via the available wired interface or optional WWAN module. Load thermal transfer media and ribbon (1-inch core) following the user manual; align media for correct registration. Use the printer’s control panel or supported print languages to configure label format, resolution (up to 300 x 300 DPI), and print speed. For label content adjustments such as object positioning, barcode sizing or font changes, use the Smart Parse features to apply modifications without changing backend systems. Monitor printer diagnostics and performance remotely with Operational Intelligence.
For best long-term performance, use media and ribbons that meet Honeywell specifications, perform routine inspections of the printhead and platen roller, and enable remote monitoring to detect issues early. When replacing existing printers, verify compatibility of label formats and print languages to minimize system integration effort.
