Label printer Honeywell PX940 Direct thermal Thermal transfer
The Honeywell PX940 Direct thermal Thermal transfer label printer delivers high-resolution printing with a maximum of 600 x 600 DPI and supports both direct thermal and thermal transfer technologies. Designed for industrial and commercial environments, the PX940 offers wired and wireless connectivity options and a black metal housing. Integrated label verification is available on selected models to ensure barcodes meet ANSI grading standards, automatically voiding and reprinting labels that fail to meet set thresholds. The printer is engineered for precise registration (up to ±0.2 mm) and reliable edge-to-edge printing on small labels, helping reduce errors, returns and compliance fines.
The PX940 combines high print resolution and fast print speeds (up to 350 mm/s) with an all-metal print mechanism for long-term durability and reduced maintenance. Built-in verification capability (on models with the verifier) provides pass/fail results and ANSI grades to ensure barcode quality and regulatory compliance. Tool-free replacement of the printhead and platen roller, flexible media support including one-inch core ribbons, and multiple print language firmware make the PX940 easy to integrate into existing operations and minimize downtime.
Install the PX940 on a stable surface and connect power and your chosen network interface (wired or wireless). Load the appropriate label stock and ribbon for thermal transfer or select direct thermal media when ribbonless printing is required. Use the printer’s firmware or the included configuration utilities to set print language, resolution and verification thresholds if your model includes the integrated verifier. Calibrate media sensors and perform a test print to confirm registration and barcode readability before starting production runs.
For consistent, error-free results, choose the correct ribbon type and label material for your application, configure the verification thresholds to match your compliance requirements, and schedule routine calibration and preventive maintenance. When printing small labels, verify registration settings and run sample prints to ensure edge-to-edge accuracy.
