Description

The HP Designjet T950 36-in Multifunction Printer is an advanced thermal inkjet device designed to support demanding professional workflows across multiple sectors. Featuring comprehensive capabilities for printing, colour copying, and sheet-fed colour scanning, this robust system efficiently handles document formats ranging from standard A4 sheets up to large A0 proportions. Engineered to streamline operations in busy offices and technical environments, the device integrates multiple media trays for mixed-format output and supports flexible connectivity options including Gigabit Ethernet LAN, Wi-Fi, USB, and mobile printing solutions.

Advantages

This multifunction printer delivers high productivity by combining printing, scanning, and copying functionalities into a single compact unit. The inclusion of integrated input and output trays allows for seamless handling of mixed-format projects, simplifying the processing of both detailed CAD drawings and high-resolution architectural renderings. Advanced thermal inkjet technology ensures precise detail reproduction with a high maximum resolution, while native compatibility with various page description languages facilitates smooth integration into existing digital infrastructures.

Suitable for

Printing and reviewing large-format architectural and engineering CAD drawings
Producing vivid full-colour technical renderings and presentations
Scanning, copying, and digitising large-format documents up to A0 size
Mixed-format office printing workflows combining A4 and A0 materials

When it may not be suitable

This printer may not be appropriate for high-volume textile printing or specialized production lines requiring continuous roll-to-roll printing of extremely long banners beyond standard sheet and roll dimensions. Additionally, environments that lack network infrastructure or mobile device compatibility requirements might not fully utilize the advanced connectivity features.

Key specifications

Thermal inkjet print technology with four printing colours including cyan, matte black, magenta, and yellow
Maximum print resolution of 2400 x 1200 DPI
Maximum print and media size supporting A0 format up to 841 x 1189 mm
Sheet-fed colour scanning and colour copying capabilities
Built-in display, USB port, Ethernet LAN, and Wi-Fi connectivity
Compatible media types include plain, coated, bond, photo, matte, heavy, and satin paper, as well as banners

How to use

Operation of the printer is managed via the built-in display panel and supported software solutions designed to simplify job submission. Users can load cut sheets or compatible media into the designated input trays, select the appropriate settings for printing, copying, or scanning, and initiate tasks directly from connected computers, mobile devices via Apple AirPrint and HP ePrint, or local USB drives. Regular maintenance involves monitoring the four individual print cartridges and ensuring the paper paths remain clear of debris to maintain optimal operational performance.

What to consider before purchase

Ensure sufficient physical workspace to accommodate the dimensions and weight of a 36-inch multi-format device
Verify network availability for Ethernet LAN or Wi-Fi setup depending on office infrastructure
Check compatibility of page description languages with your existing design and office software applications
Confirm that the supported media types align with your specific daily documentation and presentation requirements

For optimal results, use genuine HP printing supplies and recommended media types, and ensure the printer firmware is kept up to date to maintain security features and consistent output quality.
